State Street Partners is a full-service Government Affairs and Lobbying firm with offices in Trenton, N.J. and Washington, D.C. Founded in 1998, the firm focuses on government issues in New Jersey, New York (including New York City), the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C.

The firm also represents clients in several other states on federal environmental matters. This representation takes place before the USEPA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. as well as the respective USEPA Regional Offices.

The Firm

Founded in 1998 by Rocco Iossa, the firm originally focused
on government issues in New Jersey and the New York Metropolitan
area. In January 2001, the firm expanded and opened an office in
Washington, D.C. focusing on federal issues. Currently, the firm
represents clients throughout the United States on federal environmental
issues. In addition, the firm has expanded its service to the Commonwealth
of Puerto Rico, where the firm works with both public and private
entities.

New Jersey Practice

The firm's New Jersey practice is broad and covers issues in the Legislative and Executive branches of State Government, as well as matters pending before numerous State agencies, commissions and authorities. In addition to representation of private clients, the firm's practice includes representation of municipalities, county governments and authorities. Members of the firm have held positions of considerable responsibility at all levels of government. The members of State Street Partners have considerable executive branch experience spanning several administrations. With a deep executive and legislative background, State Street Partners is uniquely qualified to help clients develop strategies and tactics capable of gaining the attention and winning the support of key decision makers. The firm has a broad State Government practice and handles issues in the Office of the Governor, all departments of State Government, as well as numerous State agencies, commissions and authorities. The firm specializes in Executive Branch negotiation on behalf of private clients. In addition, members of the firm are registered lobbyists with the State of New Jersey and continuously work on issues before both houses of the New Jersey Legislature. The firm's County and Municipal Government practice includes representing counties and municipalities before State and federal regulatory agencies, as well as representing private clients before county and municipal governments.

Federal Practice

The firm's federal practice focuses primarily on issues and matters before the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), including all its divisions and regions. The firm has a particular expertise in matters before the Office of the Administrator, the Office of General Counsel, and the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance.

Further, the firm has significant experience in handling environmental matters before the USEPA Region 2 Office in New York City. Recently, a member of the firm served as Regional Administrator at the USEPA Region 2 Office. With that background, the firm has a unique ability to help clients achieve the objectives and desired goals at the agency.

The firm also represents clients before the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
